Eternal Hope

Hiding deep in my fortress of solitude
I keep my eye on the eternal hope

Hope that I will stay safe from harm
Especially that of my own making

Hope that I will stay out of the hospitals
Those mental wards aren't all their cracked up to be

Hope that I will not make others miserable
I tend to lash out for no reason when I am upset

Hope that someday I will find true inner peace
And hopefully that won't come the day I pass away

But well before so for even a few days while alive...

I can feel safe in the eternal hope.
