Sunday 4-15-12

Inside the darkness a tear falls
followed by a cry for help
A shot of venom pushed into the skin
another tear falls down
A gentle sigh
a night of gentle sleep

You look at me with such gentle nature
It reminds me of a former love
How she cared for me
How she touched my heart
She broke down my walls
Freed my soul from the darkness
If only for a little while

The body lays on the cold bed
Venom running into the veins
The eyes heavy
The body rests
The mind still swirls
The electrodes zap the brain
Still the mind wanders
The words pulse increasing speed
The tears flow down the cheeks
As the venom worms into the soul
Burning deep
Scarring it dark
Leaving a bruise

I feel the pain and sorrow
Their tears are mine now
Their rage fills my soul
Burning, torching the last of my sanity
