Moving forward

Here I go moving forward
Putting it behind me
The painful memories
The scornful remarks
I am trying to let them go
Failure to do so
Will only leave me feeling stuck
Like quicksand pulling me down
From this moment on I am letting go
It will still hurt and more will come
From now on, no matter what I do
I just have to keep moving forward.
